1. Are there any female mentors that helped influence your personal or business life?
There are two women in my life who have truly helped influence me – they are my Mum and my Sister.
My Mum is an entrepreneur who runs her own business while taking care of her family. My sister is a successful leader in the digital ecommerce space and an inspiration. I admire her work ethic and the dedication she brings to everything that she does. No challenge is too big that she can’t overcome. She encourages me to think outside the box and has always provided me with mentorship and guidance throughout my career.
2. Why do you think it’s important for more women to join the tech industry?
We need more women representing women in this industry. Representation matters at every level. It gives me motivation that I too can build a career in technology. We also need women in tech to bring the female perspective to technology led products and decisions. Ultimately combining the different perspectives to make better and holistic products and services for our society.
3. What advice would you give to the next generation of young females entering the tech/business world?
The advice that I would give to young females entering the tech and business world is to believe in yourself – always. Don’t underestimate the value that YOU bring. Be your own advocate and push for what you believe in.
