1. What first sparked your interest in working in the technology industry?
What truly sparked my own interest in working in technology is the pace of change, creativity and passion that gets realized into embedding technology into everything that we do!
2. How much do you think the technology industry has changed since you joined?
The technology industry has changed immensely and continues to change faster than ever. Technology has become more than just a department or a business unit. Technology has become a critical capability that enables the strategy of every organization. So, I would say very different!
3. Do you think enough is done to help women get into the tech industry? If not, what would you recommend?
Here at Valeyo, we have a very high ratio of females in technology roles. It starts with everyone coming together, sitting down, powering their mindset, fueling their passion and finding their way into these technology roles. Because if you have that passion, there’s no reason why you couldn’t be in this industry.
4. What advice would you give to the next generation of female leaders?
Technology enables strategy; try to understand the goals that your technology team is putting infront of you and ask yourself what is your team trying to deliver. Learning technology is a continuous process, you have to be resilient, it’s a lifestyle you’re going to have to pick.
