Terms & conditions

  • Available to eligible credit union members including children and dependents of employees and board members of participating credit unions.
  • The Learning Grant is non-renewable.
  • Students may only be granted funds once; students who were unsuccessful the previous years may apply again as long as they continue to meet the eligibility requirements.
  • Funds may be used for any education-related expenses – tuition, books, rent or other.
  • Funds should be applied to the upcoming school year.
  • Recipients will be asked to show proof of program enrollment.
  • Funding will be provided upon receipt of proof of enrollment.
  • Recipients will be issued at T4 for the current tax year. It is the sole responsibility of the recipient to ensure appropriate declarations for tax purposes and financial aid, if applicable.
  • Applicant information will not be used for solicitation purposes other than to administer the program.
  • Neither Valeyo nor any participating credit union will be responsible for tracking, managing or overseeing the use of funds issued to the recipient or for any tax filings or declarations required from recipients.
  • Employees of Valeyo and its affiliates, and their respective spouses, dependent children or grandchildren are ineligible to apply for and receive a Learning Grant.
